Each ornament is thoughtfully designed and created from scratch by husband and wife team, Brandon and Erin Spangler, in rural northwest Georgia.
Our rustic ornaments are made of 14 gauge hot-rolled steel, covered with a thin layer of black oxide which is responsible for its dark gray/bluish tint. While this provides a level of protection against corrosion, a beautiful patina of rust can be brought out by a minimal amount of exposure to humidity. If rust is unwelcome you may rub with grade 3 coarse steel wool to remove any unwanted rust.
Steel is inherently recyclable and can be used over and over again, minimizing its negative environmental impact and saving energy. Please keep in mind that each piece may vary from the photos, as our raw steel materials are created from recycled steel, resulting in variations (such as color, texture, and oil spots) to each sheet.
Each piece is cut using CNC plasma and hand ground to a finish, giving a handmade quality to each metal creation. We adorn with a burlap twine hanger to complete the ornament.
If you have any questions or concerns we would love to hear from you.
